Flipped learning integrates in an effective way ICT

Definition

“Flipped learning as a pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space, and the resulting group space is transformed into a dynamic, interactive learning environment where the educator guides students as they apply concepts and engage creatively in the subject matter” (Bergmanm & Sams, 2014, p. 6).

How you will integrate ICT in you English classroom?

Four more ICTs sources to practice the different languages skills

  1. One option to integrate ICT is the use of didactically TED videos. TED offers a broad collection of education videos about business, psychology, science and so on. Here I put an example I used in my class to make my students more familiar with the English language.
  2. For the repetition of vocabulary we can found a lot of useful pages on the web. I want you present Language Guide where you can find vocabulary for the first level students. If in your institution uses a platform or if you have created a wiki, you can upload data and your students can use this links to practice the vocabulary for or after the lesson. The important part here is the possibility to listen to the pronunciation which is always a big challenge.
  3. ESL video can be used to motivate the students with music to practice their listening skill. This page offers different English levels music examples where the student has to complete the lyrics through focuses listening.
  4. Another important online source that can be used to support the listening skill of our students is elllo . This page offers an online library with English audio lessons. Every lesson shows you different options which you can take advantage of. Options such as videos, quizzes, and vocabulary which can help you with classroom activities.
